Popular concert series will kick off on September 21
LAKE FOREST PARK, WA, August 7, 2013 – Town Center at Lake Forest Park announced the relaunch of its popular weekend music program, which will kick off its season on September 21. Concerts will be held on Saturday nights at the center’s Commons area.
The concert series will be under new management by Friends of Third Place, a nonprofit organization founded to manage the Commons community. The program will be financed by Madison Marquette Retail Services (MMRS).
“We are so proud to offer our support to this beloved music program, which brings the community together to enjoy a talented mix of local and regional artists at our center,” said Tory Glossip, Senior General Manager for MMRS. “Working with Friends of Third Place, we are confident the program will continue to grow in popularity and bolster our vibrant event programming.”
Town Center at Lake Forest Park, which is managed by MMRS, is a Seattle-area neighborhood center offering a dynamic mix of retail, dining and entertainment options with more than 240,000 square feet of retail space. The center’s Third Place Commons offers more than 800 community events throughout the calendar year.
“This music program has received a tremendous amount of community support and we are thrilled to see it live on in partnership with MMRS,” said Constance Perenyi, Executive Director for Friends of Third Place. “We look forward to continuing our tradition of supporting local musicians and providing entertainment to the community.”
